Through the Pharmacy First Scheme, patients can now get treatment for seven common conditions directly from their local pharmacy, without the need for a GP appointment or prescription.
The Bunhill, Barbican and Golden Lane healthy neighbourhood scheme is a joint project between the City of London Corporation and Islington Council.
It will prioritise street spaces for people walking cycling and using public transport, and will make these unique neighbourhoods more vibrant and successful places where people can lead active and healthy lives.
Neighbourhoods brings residents, voluntary sector, health, education and care services together in City & Hackney’s eight Neighbourhoods, to work together on what matters to local people and address health inequalities.
