NHS seeks publc views on online GP consultations
NHS England has launched a short survey to find out what patients feel about online GP consultations.
Online consultations are a way to contact your GP practice via a smartphone, computer or tablet without having to wait on the phone or visit the practice.
Many Hackney GPs already have websites that enable patients to make appointments, get test results, order repeat prescriptions or view their summary records.
NHS England has earmarked £45 million to contribute to the cost of GP practices buying online consultation systems to improve access and make better use of clinician time.
Online consultations usually involve corresponding online with the practice but they can also involve a phone call with a GP or nurse and sometimes a face to face consultation.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes and closes on Friday 15 June 2018. You can complete the survey here.
