Board pays tribute to 'inspirational' member

Healthwatch City of London has paid tribute to long-standing board member Dr Geoffrey Rivett who has decided to step down from his role.

Geoffrey, a GP, published author and respected medical historian served on the board for four years.

Gail Beer, acting chair of Healthwatch City of London, said the board had lost an 'inspirational' and 'valuable' member of the team.

'Geoffrey's energy, enthusiasm and commitment have been vital for ensuring patients' and carers' needs were taken into consideration,' she said.

'His intellectual rigour together with his compassion were an inspiration. Board members have the utmost respect and admiration for him professionally and personally and will miss his experience, humour and warmth.'
