Public representatives - Integrated commissioning
The public representatives sit on the boards of the Care Workstreams and Enabler Groups of the integrated commissioning programme.
They play an important role making sure the work includes residents’ perspectives. To contact them with any feedback or issues you would like raised on your behalf please firstname.lastname@example.org who will pass it on.
The public representatives report into the Engagement Enabler Group that is co-chaired by the Director of Healthwatch Hackney and the City & Hackney Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)'s lay member for Patient and Public Involvement.
Ida Scoullos - Unplanned Care Workstream
As a Hackney resident and service user, I want to make sure patients’ voices are heard. I currently sit as Public/Patient Representative on the Long Term Condition’s Board, Children’s Board and Unplanned Care Board. I also Chair the Patient User Experience Group, the only patient-led group in Hackney and City. I have also been elected to co-Chair and represent children’s and families views on the Community Engagement Network. I have a real interest in both health and social care. I am a member of Homerton University hospital, East London Foundation Trust, City and Hackney Health and Social Care Forum, the Patients Participation Group, Healthwatch Hackney, Hackney CVS, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Michael Vidal - Planned Care Workstream and Estates Enabler Group
Michael has worked in patient involvement since 2007. He first worked as a member of one of the first two patient forums in Hackney. While there he worked on the transition to Local Involvement Networks and was on the steering committee of Hackney LINk. Again he was involved in the move from LINks to Healthwatch Hackney and was one of the original members of Healthwatch Hackney and on its board from 2013 to 2016. Over the last seven years he has worked on a number of pan-London and sector wide service transformations. Michael is the patient representative on the Prescribing Programme Board, the Estates Enabler Group and the Planned Care Workstream. He is keen to ensure that the voice of the patient is heard in service development. Outside of his patient involvement work, Michael sits on the school admissions panel for Hackney. He also chairs Exclusion Review Panels and is a former School Governor.
Stephanie Bierkhandt - Prevention workstream
My professional background is as a stonemason and a sculptor. I have lived on Mountford Estate in the Hackney for the last 13 years, and in the London Borough of Hackney since 1996. I am part of the Mountford Growing Community and have been involved in many community collectives over the years. These include the tenants’ and residents’ association (TRA) on my estate and running workshops and skillshares like Herbal Help for mums and dads with a dream of building a community apothecary. I am passionate about health and nature and how we can empower ourselves through the use of plant remedies and build a better relationship with our environment and people around us, which has only intensified with the birth of my two-year old daughter.
