Free Staying Healthy event - 15 November
City and Hackney residents can find out about local support available to stay healthy and well at a free community event on Thursday 15 November.
People can drop-in between 10.30am to 2.30pm on the day at the Pembury Community Centre (3 Atkins Square, Dalston Lane, E8 1FA).
Stalls and activities include:
- Free massage
- Foot health
- Blood pressure checks
- Chair yoga
- Smoothie bike
- Medicines advice
- Advice to quit smoking
- Cooking healthy food on a budget
Attendees will also be able to feedback on wider health and social care plans.
There’s also a chance to pick up some free fruit and vegetables (limited).
The event is being organised jointly by NHS Community Voice, Peabody Trust, City and Hackney clinical commissioning group (CCG), City of London Corporation and Hackney Council.
It takes place during national Self Care Week (12-18 November) that encourages people to make small, lifestyle changes which can have big health and wellbeing improvements
