Comings and goings at Healthwatch
Healthwatch City of London and Healthwatch Hackney have said a very sad farewell to two of its longest serving staff members.
Sulekha Hassan who developed and ran our successful City and Hackney NHS Community Voice project stepped down from her role in October to move to a new job working in Parliament.
Volunteer manager Ali Aksoy also left us in November to focus on his work with the Hackney Refugee Forum.
Healthwatch Hackney executive director Jon Williams said: 'I am sorry to see Ali and Sulekha leave Healthwatch. In their respective work areas both demonstrated a real commitment to helping the public be involved and heard in changes to services. I wish them both the very best for the future.'
Meanwhile we welcomed two new staff members who will work across Healthwatch City of London and Healthwatch Hackney.
Catherine Perez Phillips took up a new role as part-time Deputy Director of operations in September. Catherine leads on volunteering, Enter and View and manages key operational staff.
Lola Njoku also joined us as Involvement Alliance Co-ordinator. She tasked with supporting local patient and public involvement groups in City and Hackney to work more closely together.
